We are a charity, founded in 1998.
We help people in need in Mid-Sussex whose requests are supported and referred by a recognised help agency or charity.
Notice of Closure
After nearly 30 years of successfully helping those in need in Mid Sussex we have been forced to close the charity at the end of July by a combination of adverse factors:
No new volunteers to replace the ageing group, our van off to the knacker’s yard and the final straw the withdrawal by West Sussex County Council of our funding.
How We Work
Our main aim is to build up a stock of second-hand furniture, household goods and equipment from donated items and to make these available to local people in need.
All items are supplied free of charge, although we are always happy to accept a donation to help towards our running costs.
Support us
We particularly welcome interest from those looking to become involved in the overall running of the charity
Additionally, if you can spare a couple of hours a week to help in the office or a morning a week to drive and/or load the van please get in touch. We need your help to manage the charity and to organise and undertake collections and deliveries of donated furniture and household goods.
About us
We provide furniture and household goods suitable for people’s needs from available stock, and deliver to their homes in the Mid Sussex area.
We are Committed to reducing waste and pollution since we recycle items of household furniture and equipment of reasonable quality thereby reducing the volume going to landfill.
